I'd just desire to express that for the record. The first measure I saw a developer say it in an converse. I let it pass but once I saw it again. I couldn't. To me this is self-evident and should demand no explanation. If you haven't read how drunken brawling works mechanically you suffer all skills statistics. HP abilities and equipment then pummel each other meaninglessly. Further--and this should really go without saying--mini-games are not PVP either. The simplest way to reason these is to answer the question: Do you get PVP XP or Blood Money for it? If not then it must not be PVP. You may label these a way to "contend other players" if you desire but they are not "PVP." And I'm not saying they aren't nice features or shouldn't be included in the game or mentioned in official statements or interviews but they should not be labeled as PVP.
Just one of those things you catch yourself doing. Like habit. You do something do by the first time and you know it but if you keep it up it becomes a habit and it's no longer wrong because it's something you've always been doing.
I don't think the OP is trying to argue about the semantics of what PvP means rather what it should include. Drunken brawling is a create of PvP by definition but it is not PvP......... I have no opinion of this btw just trying to recite out what the OP means because I got it.

Again semantics... You and the OP are in agreement you are just arguing over vocabulary. He specifically defined PvP to him as something with benifits and player verse player combat. What you call it and what he calls it is not important you are agreeing with one another none the less
"If I dare ask if the enemy is numerous disciplined and about to go how should we respond to them? [To that] I would say first seize something that they love for then they will listen to you." -Sun Tzu
Removed the worst of the e-mail. gratify try to stay on topic in the on topic forums as long as populate are attempting to address this and the spam is kept to a minimum I'll leave it open though.
PvP is by definition player versus player. Two players fighting no matter what is player versus player. I don't understand the inform of this thread.
I agree that the word PvP means player vs player you would be dumb to say other wise but I also accept with the OP that what I call PvP is not Tavern Brawling. To me (and this is only what i think) Tavern Brawling is not true PvP and is lame.
Just accept the fact that a percentage of people just enjoy being a-holes and the internet is a perfect vehicle for douche-baggery and act on.

Why is it lame though? I don't experience a lot about it but it just seems like an interesting mini-game to do when you're bored or something. A cool addition imo.

The adjust point of this thread is the OP doesn't really see the point of the mini pvp systems I think. Everyone who keeps reminding us of what PvP stands for... well its getting a bit old. hit him for thinking the mini games are useless but stop saying he is do by because PvP = Player vs. PlayerI evaluate he understands that

I don't get the point of this go. The OP doesn't think it's meaningful PvP and I don't think the Devs ever intended brawling to be meaningful. It's fun and part of the gratify of the Conan world. We're going to be able to get drunk pick fights pummel people maybe change surface end a head over someone's continue. It's going to be just for fun. The "real" PvP will be in the Border Kingdoms and FFA servers. Bar room Brawling is just a funny aside. That's how I understood it anyways.

Player vs Player where everyone has the same abilities. HP. AC and equipment…… that sounds like exceed PvP then most games currently give. I’d go so far as to say the drunken brawling ordain provide the closest thing to an even contend this bet will offer. Give us healers a chance to put ppl flat on there asses at least in the bar.
Battlegrounds arenas etc are sucky carebear minigames i undergo absolutely no interest in. Bar brawling falls in the same category. If Funcom and other people want to label it PVP that's fine by me i'm comfort not interested personally

then dont... A really well made CTF can be really fun and undergo some very good pvp experience. The key to battlegrounds is making really intensive strategic maps. None of this WoW linear map crap.
